It will not be able to replace an LCD projector as it needs one for displaying the presentation. The BlackBerry presenter is a component that is connected to the LCD projector to display the presentations. It also only supports power point presentation image output and no sound capabilities.

For instance, if you just need to display PowerPoint while you're speaking? Can it handle PowerPoint presentations with sound and animation? I guess my concern is that the wireless feature could get held up and also hold up your entire presentation.

This gadget was not very impressive. For $199, all you can do is present Powerpoint Presentations. Unless all you do is display PowerPoint presentations, this gadget is absolutely useless and WAY over priced!

Shame this would be a great tool to use to do training with. Have the ability to show my BlackBerry screen on the projector or LCD while I can walk around freely with my device in my hands. They should open the API up to the OS and allow it to stream the entire device.
