Thumbplay Music announced today at CES 2010 that their Thumbplay Music application is now available for BlackBerry smartphones in private beta.

Inside BlackBerry was able to snag a few minutes with Spencer, Senior Manager for Business Development at Thumplay, for a quick demo.

One feature that deserves a special call out is the playlist re-creation – a useful way for getting playlists purchased from the iTunes store, similar to BlackBerry Media Sync which allows users to easily port iTunes and Windows Media Player libraries to their smartphones.

Interested in signing for the beta? Go to http://music.thumbplay.com. BlackBerry® Tour 9630, BlackBerry® Bold 9000 and BlackBerry® Curve 8900 are currently supported, and they will be adding more smartphones in the future.

Looks good. Between this and the other current applications available such as 7 Digital, GrooveShark and the soon to be released Kik, music applications on the BlackBerry platform are shaping up quite nicely. Not to mention Slacker 3.0 is just around the corner and Pandora is already rocking it.
