See what I mean? no info on a Blackberry site about the recent Facebook mobile app issues. Skipped over and next entry is about a beta for native Twitter client, That most people won't even get close to using. I only hope that everybody was working on the FB problem and were too busy to update here...

Too funny because I am the same when I got my first 7100 I wanted the thing to beep and buzz at every change in degree in the weather. Now I want only important stuff to bother me like personal emails and appointments and calls. It's weird how your usage changes after you nestle into the BlackBerry.

Oh, the options are there for sure. But when I FIRST got my Curve a few years ago, I had all kinds of things going on. The phone became my own little message parlor. Every little thing from Viigo, and other RSS feeds kept the darn thing buzzin and beepin. Since then, I've trimmed down on the notifications like that and only concentrate on ones that actually may be useful! At least for me- things that relate to work or something important like weather alerts or advisories. Not all email sets it off, either. I got tired of getting a notification when I was expecting something, only to find that the golf channel is selling something, or any number of similar messages.

For sure that can be frustrating to keep checking for updates from a site and no updates are available. I am the same way but I use Vigo on my BlackBerry and for my desktop I use Outlook 2007 RSS reader. Whenever my favorite sites update like IBBB I get notified right away. Just an option I know your venting and might not want an answer but sometimes people don’t know the options are out there like RSS.

Sorry, when I first read the original story, I thought it was a link to a 'launcher' to the mobile version. Hence my original reply. In light of that, sure, any site that has a mobile version is going to get a better chance of being used on my phone for sure. And yes, it looks/loads better than it did before. As I mentioned in the original, for awhile I checked it every day- either on the phone or PC. it didn't get updated for nearly a week at a time. And a week between posts these days is ancient history. Maybe as the site grows and matures content will be updated on a more timely basis. I'll probably still check every day just to see whats up.

Just so you know it is not an application but a mobile version of IBBB for the web browser on the BlackBerry so if you visit with the mobile browser the page loads are smaller and designed for the BlackBerry screen and smaller size fir data charges and transfers to be less. Its a great idea because before the browser would not even load some articles because they were to big to view on the browser.
