And research behind that is? Just because a phone is doing well in the market means nothing time will tell and RIM has proved time. iPhone is struggling to keep up. Google iPhone 4 problems… Yellow marks on screens, crappy reception that if held a certain way it drops calls, the list goes on for iPhone users. Think what you will your thinking does not change fact. I thought Hip Hop was going to go away too. Just because you don't ike something does not mean its going to go away…

Its a BlackBerry not an iPhone perfection takes time. If you want a piece of plastic that breaks every time you drop it then they can make them faster. RIM has been in business for how long and how many phones have they made? RIM makes more phones then any company and does it right! Consumers want the BlackBerry to be like the iPhone and thats why they want the next one or new ones. Business people love the phone and I'm sure we would love to see new phones too but they can only design so many a year.

I have read the boards! Every day! I've seen the slider photos, I know the
Tour 2 is now the Bold...

I have also read that in the eight or so months since the first tour was
released, the only new addition to the new version is an optical track pad
and wi-fi. I am all about "good things come to those who wait" but that is a
long ass time to wait! Especially since the 9700 had these things a long
time ago!

Don't get me wrong. I love Blackberry! My blog <http://pau.lc> is
practically dedicated to it! I've used them for a very long time. Their
keyboard and push email are second to none. I am just so sick of clicking on
a web link and getting the error "link is too large" or whatever it says
when it won't let me see the page.

You work in IT so for you, it's great that phones last for years. I need my
phone to last six to eight months until something better comes out. I had an
iPhone and switched to Blackberry. Now that Blackberry is falling behind I
might give Android a shot (if *my* IT lets me) then come back once RIM works
out the kinks.

If you read the internet posts all over different boards everything you have stated is being changed. Perfection takes time to do right. This is what I love about RIM devices. Sure there not an iPhone flashy eye candy device but, what they have done has been done right and with though and effort put into it. Other companies just guess and hope it will be a success and try to but the cheepes parts they hope wont break or wear out. RIM does not guess they follow a line that is true and put quality in their releases. I tell you I support around 50 people with BlackBerry Smartphones in the company and I think I have a drawer of about 4 broken phones. 2 years and 50 phones with only 4 parts machines! That speaks words to me and they can wait as long as they want to put out these devices as long as they continue to put the same quality in to the OS, durability, and security they have show they love to do. This is what Canada is representative of and it makes me proud.

I'm a BlackBerry owner and I am Canadian!
