I don’t mind that they’re trying to “catch up” with Androids. Blackberry was around before Android and once was the new big thing. Now that Android has kicked it up a notch, I think it’s good that Blackberry is trying to compete–leads to new, better options for costumers.
The one thing I would like to see is for the screen to light up when you get a message. I downloaded an app to make the phone do this, but it drained the battery.

I can’t seem to find a firm answer; Can I put the OS 6 on my storm 1 9530 . I need to live with this old phone for another 6 months but don’t want things ot get messed up. I’m suffering already with Sorm 1.

Hi Andrew,
I know the BB os6 is a major improvement from os5 but will os6 be available for the Storm 2 (9550)? I have read conflicting reports that os 6 will not be supported on the Storm 2. Please confirm this.

Improve memory usage…
Love universal search
Shoul be and option to Add a contact after dial a number on home screen (before press send )
Be able to install apps in device memory, not just for archiving! Apps should not be installed in RAM!

I love the new OS with one setback for me. I do not like the favorites,downloads,all,main bars on the bottom of the screen. On the Bold 9650 I can never get it ti stay on the field I would like. Also I could go to the extended view on the last os and then hit back, at that point I could have my selection be on say SMS and when I hit the blackberry button for extended view…right back on my other selevtion. Small pet peeve but that’s the only thing I am not to happy with, other than that homerun!

I dont understand why people are praising os6 when you cant even download a theme for you phone. That is one of the many reasons why people like smartphones–you want to be able to personalize you phone. How could you release an operating system knowing that you dont have themes to support it! Now I am stuck looking at on my phone all year round!
