BlackBerry PlayBook Web Fidelity Video (Multimedia, Games and Social Networking)

[YouTube link for mobile viewing]

Check out our latest BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet video, just in time for CES 2011! When we posted the BlackBerry PlayBook vs. iPad comparison video, many Inside BlackBerry readers posted comments suggesting a variety of different websites they’d like to see on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and we took that to heart in our new video.

Our good friend Matthew from the web browser group at Research In Motion® (RIM®) is back as well, demonstrating rich web video content using both HTML5 and Adobe® Flash®, and social networking with Facebook® Chat, Facebook Flash games and viewing embedded content in your News Feed.

Please post a comment to let us know what you think and keep suggesting more websites you’d like to see running on BlackBerry PlayBook! If you’re interested in more PlayBook video content, check out this Inside BlackBerry Developer’s Blog video on the BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK, which outlines some of the tools developers can use to make great BlackBerry PlayBook apps.

    • Douglas tr0n Soltys

The AppStore on the iPad is so much more comprehensive and the whole point of a tablet is to have mini “optimized” applications for facebook, youtube etc…

I just don’t see how this can compare. Judging from this video the screen is of an inferior quality to that of the iPads as well.

I wanna be a BETA Tester. This is so revolutionary and more compatible then any tablet out there.

Can’t wait to see this hit the public and make a fool of Steve Jobs. He has the capability of running his mouth like a bully but then later once he is proved wrong seems to be quite quiet. Will be nice to see his reaction to this device and realize there is a market for a 7″ PlayBook.

ENOUGH ALREADY!! Let’s roll the PlayBook out!

I would love to see BlackBerry come in and undercut the iPad. I really like the iPad, but Apple needs some serious competition. More specifically, Apple needs a competitor to come out with a beautiful, highly operational tablet that caters to Flash content.

  • N.C. Weber

Oh, I so would like to have one of those. 🙂 But tell me, will it work with BlackBerryOS 4.5? I ask because I wanted to install Rhapsody on my BlackBerry and it only works in 4.6,

The above video takes us through some HTML 5 video, as well as the desktop versions of YouTube, Facebook and Facebook games. All of this rich media browsing is all possible thanks to Flash support, and it’s hard to imagine a PlayBook without it. Hopefully, rumors of Flash sucking up battery life aren’t true, and we’ll have a tablet with decent battery life, and full, rich media browsing capabilities.More info available at Inside BlackBerry.google_ad_client="pub-7131708721983712";google_ad_slot="2579457768";google_ad_width=300;google_ad_height=250; Related Posts:Kaufman Bros.
