The Emoticon Turns 30 – Show Us Your Smiley :)

The emoticon recently turned 30, and we’re taking the opportunity to not only smile (:)), but to really appreciate the terrific community we have here. Not so surprisingly, I love emoticons. Whether I’m using BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), SMS, or email to connect with friends, I find that incorporating a smiley face ensures that my messages sound friendly, especially when they’re short.

A few of my favorite apps in BlackBerry App World feature this ubiquitous smiley face. They include Easy Smiley Pack by S4BB (FREE), Text Smiley by AppsForBB.com (FREE), and Mega Emoji Free by MMMOOO (FREE).
