At the recent Canadian Grand Prix, we sent our correspondent, Carl-Edwin Michel, in Montreal to catch all the action and provide tips for using BBM to connect with friends while out at a major event. Watch it here:

The Location Sharing feature, powered by Glympse is awesome.
If you were on Crescent Street in downtown Montreal and wanted to share with your friends on a multi-person chat that you were coming to the race. You’d just share your location once, right within your BBM chat, and everyone would be able to see where you were. Once the timers ran out, your location would be private again.
There’s more exciting functionality enabled by the BBM Channels feature, which lets you connect with the broader BBM community, beyond your BBM contact list.
Again, in the context of the Grand Prix, let’s say you wanted to check out some information about the the Mercedes-Benz AMG Petronas Team.
By going into the BBM Channels section, you could find it right away and interact in the way you want to, and on the device of your choice – BBM is cross-platform, be it on BlackBerry, iOS or Android.
