EZ Pass is a Hit: 1.2 Million BES10 Licenses Issued to Security-Conscious Enterprises

Amidst recent media speculation around BlackBerry and hopeful claims of competitors, we’ve been setting the record straight about both our pedigree in Enterprise Mobility Management – as well as our progress.

At our Q1 earnings call yesterday, we disclosed that more than 2,600 enterprises comprising 1.2 million workers are trying out our multi-platform, secure EMM platform, BES10. They are signing up via our EZ Pass program, which makes it easy for companies to try out BES10 for free. More than 10% of those licenses were trade-ins from competing Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Good Technology and Mobile Iron.

Analysts took note:

So did publications:

Mobile Enterprise: “BlackBerry is Coming Back”

The Inquirer: “BlackBerry CEO celebrates EZ Pass wins over Good and MobileIron”

eWeek: “BlackBerry has enjoyed a ‘strong uptick’ in sign-ups for its EZ Pass program.”

Mashable: “BlackBerry has managed to make moves to gain momentum back against its competitors such as GOOD and Mobile Iron, according to Chen.”

IT Business Edge: “The EZ Pass Program to move BlackBerry’s device management offerings more aggressively into enterprises has already shown solid signs of success.”
