UPDATE: We’ve noticed The BeBold Team has received a lot of attention over the last couple of days, and wanted to clarify – this infographic is just intended to be a bit of fun. On New Year’s Eve, we asked BlackBerry Twitter followers and their friends to submit their resolutions on how they plan to Be Bold in 2012. More than 35,000 resolutions streamed across Twitter®, Facebook®, and giant billboards in Times Square. As we looked at the resolutions and the data, majority patterns and categories emerged. We decided to organize the data and share it in a fun way, and the result is the infographic. This is not a new ad campaign.

Let me just say, #TeamBlackBerry, that when we present a challenge to this community, you never cease to amaze us. On New Year’s Eve, we asked you to tell us how you will #BeBold in 2012. We celebrated the big night at the hottest New Year’s Eve party – Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, sponsored by BlackBerry® – and watched more than 35,000 of your Bold resolutions stream across Twitter®, Facebook®, and giant billboards in Times Square.

Whether it’s the determination to run in your first marathon or earn a degree, you proved to us that for you, 2012 is about one thing – boldly seizing opportunities to pursue your dreams. More than this, four bold characters emerged from your #BeBold resolutions, and it’s clear to us that all are bravely stepping out of 2011 and into a 2012 filled with unlimited possibilities. On New Year’s Eve, we’ll be coming at Team BlackBerry from Times Square. And we want you and your resolutions to join us. It’s as easy as answering one simple question: How will you #BeBold in 2012?

Each year, we look to accomplish something that’s just beyond reach, or we look to get something done that just has to be done. Where to begin? You imagine it. You decide. You write it down. You commit. You take action. And you often enlist the help of others: your family, your friends, your coworkers – even strangers – if that’s what it takes to build momentum and rise to the challenge. So we’re asking you, Team BlackBerry, to take that first step and answer the question: How will you #BeBold in 2012?

Your #BeBold resolution just might make it onto a Times Square billboard and be broadcast on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.
