Share your PIN Barcode

Introduced in today’s update to BBM for Android and iPhone, the new Share PIN option makes sharing your PIN Barcode even easier. Using this option you can quickly share your PIN Barcode across your favorite social network as well as other options provided by your device’s operating system. To use the Share My PIN feature, complete the following steps:

  1. Open BBM and tap BBM-PIN-3Dot followed by Share PIN
  2. Select your desired sharing method from the list that is displayed

Assign contacts to categories

Managing a large contact list is easy when you can organize your BBM contacts into categories. To do this, complete the following steps:

  1. Open BBM and tap Contacts
  2. Tap BBM-PIN-3Dot followed by Add Category
  3. Enter a category title and tap Ok
  4. Select the contacts you’d like to assign to the newly created category
  5. Tap Done when finished

Tell Your Friends

On top of the new Share PIN option that appears in your BBM menu, make sure you try out Tell Your Friends, which will let you see which of your friends on your other social networks are also using BBM and invite them to chat! Tell Your Friends will open your device browser and allow you to log in to your favorite social networks. After logging in, all you need to do is browse your friend list and look for a BBM PIN under their name. You can make it easy for your friends to connect with you as well by entering your PIN too!

To use the Tell Your Friends feature, complete the following steps:

  1. Open BBM and tap BBM-PIN-3Dot followed by Tell Your Friends
  2. Sign into your favorite social networks, add your BBM PIN and invite your friends to connect!

Tip: To find your BBM PIN, open BBM and tap on your display picture.
