BlackBerry Named a Leader in the Gartner 2016 EMM Magic Quadrant

thumbsup_squareThere was a time when Good Technology was one of our chief competitors in the Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) space. That all changed with our acquisition of Good last November. Since then, we’ve integrated Good’s portfolio into our own, merging it together with BlackBerry Workspaces (formerly known as WatchDox) and AtHoc to create the BlackBerry Enterprise Mobility Suite (formerly known as Good Secure EMM Suites): a powerful, multi-OS EMM solution for businesses at every stage of the mobile maturity curve.

Analysts have taken notice of that integration – several weeks ago, BlackBerry was named a Leader in Gartner’s Enterprise Mobility Management Magic Quadrant. With BlackBerry UEM (formerly known as BES) serving as the backend and Good as the frontend, our EMM offerings are a good fit for any organization that plans to support BlackBerry devices, as well as businesses that need to manage iOS and Android devices. The two solutions together create an EMM platform that provides administrators with the ability to securely manage their full mobile deployment at the device, app, and content layer with unmatched control.

“We believe our positioning in the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Mobility Management Suites is proof that we are delivering on our enterprise roadmap and providing the most complete EMM solution on the market,” explains Billy Ho, Executive Vice President, Enterprise Products at BlackBerry. “Our leading productivity apps combined with our enterprise-level mobile security provides organizations the ability to optimize their mobile journey while protecting both corporate and private data across multiple endpoints.”

At BlackBerry, it’s always been our goal to provide clients with the best multi-OS EMM solution on the market, and our recent acquisitions have been great strides in that direction. Customers worldwide are embracing our EMM platform because of its multi-OS support for a single, secure console with iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows, and Mac OS, coupled with support for every ownership model. To date, we manage the mobile infrastructure of tens of thousands of enterprise customers worldwide, and in the most recent quarter, 526 enterprises chose our BlackBerry Enterprise Mobility Suite (we won more than 3,300 enterprises total).

From here, there’s nowhere to go but up.
