Two of BlackBerry’s Best Recognized by CRN’s 2017 Women Of The Channel

PARTNERS / 05.16.17 / Carl Wiese

People are the cornerstone of every successful partner program. They are the driving force behind every partnership, new initiative, and successful sale. At BlackBerry, we employ some of the best and brightest minds in the field, individuals whose initiative, creative thinking, and resolve are pushing our organization towards a bright future.

That’s why we’re proud to announce that Almudena Maneiro and Lucy Evans, two key members of our Global Channels Team, have been recognized by the 2017 CRN Women of the Channel List.  Hosted by CRN Magazine, this annual release honors female executives across the IT channel who represent vendors, distributors, solution providers, and other partners. Each is selected by CRN’s editors based on her professional accomplishments, outstanding leadership, vision, and unique role in driving channel growth and innovation.

“Lucy and Almudena have been key leaders in BlackBerry’s transformation to a software and services centric solutions provider channel,” says Richard McLeod, Global VP of Enterprise Software Channels. “Both played key roles in the design and launch of our new market leading Channel Program which was recently recognized by CRN in its listing of 2017 – 5 Star Channel Programs.”

“They are highly respected by the channel team and our partners and are truly deserving of recognition as innovators and leaders in the industry,” he continues. “I am blessed and proud to have them as key members of the BlackBerry Global Channel Team.”

Almudena Maneiro: A Cornerstone of Partner Enablement

As the lead for BlackBerry’s Global Channel Marketing, Almudena has over a decade of experience leading sales teams and driving B2B growth. She has been a fixture at BlackBerry for several years, and her passion and curiosity have taken our channel initiatives to new heights. She has a well-earned reputation for putting the customer first, and has fostered and strengthened BlackBerry’s relationships with many different partners.

During her time with us, she established a regular set of partner webinars with well above-average attendance rates. She has also developed and published a set of lead generation campaigns for partners. Finally, she regularly attends and speaks at customer-facing events with partners designed to grow awareness of BlackBerry in the market.

Lucy Evans: Driven, Creative, and Dedicated

Lucy Evans is BlackBerry’s Global Enterprise Partner Program lead. With her deep experience and knowledge of the IT channel, she’s proven on multiple occasions her capacity for anticipating and achieving the needs of our partner organizations, however challenging they may be. In addition to the Women of the Channel, Lucy has been included on CRN’s Up & Comers List, which recognizes rising stars in the field for their creativity and drive.

Lucy is the chief architect of the new BlackBerry Solutions Provider Partner Program, which brings together the best of our acquisitions. She drives innovation through partner training, enablement, and benefits, offering strong support to our software pivot and UEM platform. And she is continually watching the market, evolving the partner program to meet the evolving needs of partners and channel leadership alike.

Honoring BlackBerry’s Best and Brightest

This announcement comes just a month after CRN assigned our partner program for solutions providers a 5-star rating – the highest possible. That our program has been recognized again in such short order is just more evidence of its success.  More evidence of our dedication to establishing better, more fulfilling relationships with our partners.

But again – none of this would be possible without our people. Both Lucy and Almudena are outstanding individuals, and a large part of what’s made our efforts in the IT channel so successful. We’re pleased to see them recognized for their contributions, and look forward to their continued efforts to shape the future of BlackBerry.

“Lucy and Almudena are continually focused on how we can support our partners to grow the amount of revenue they generate for BlackBerry,” says David Wiseman, BlackBerry’s Head of Product and Field Marketing. “They navigate complex situations without getting bogged down by keeping their focus on the finish line, and they always find ways to just get things done.”
