Stay Healthy My Friends

NEWS / 03.20.15 / Braden Russell

Your health is important. You should do whatever you can to stay healthy in order to live a long, prosperous, and productive life. For me that’s a steady diet of protein: red meat and bacon. For others it may be a diet consisting entirely of vegetables, daily yoga and preventative care through vitamins and nutrient supplements. Whatever method you’ve chosen, what matters is that you’re proactive. That you have all the information in order to make informed decisions.

Keeping your endpoints healthy is hard work too. CylancePROTECT™ can make it much easier.

But how can it do that? CylancePROTECT doesn’t use signatures nor heuristics, no application whitelisting, no behavioral analysis. It uses a live, real time analysis of a file before it executes. It’s like shrinking a malware reverse engineer down and putting them inside every laptop, desktop, and server. But not just any reverse engineer, one that can analyze millions of properties of a file in the blink of an eye. It wouldn’t matter if they’d ever seen it before, they’d take a look at it and let you know if it was good or bad. And prevent it from running if it planned to do you harm.

That little reverse engineer inside your computer, that mathematical algorithm CylancePROTECT uses to detect malware, is really good. Really efficient and really good and finding malicious files. It finds more than any other product we’ve ever tested. Sounds like a good thing, right? Not always. Some think we’re finding too much. They’re used to the ‘few and far between’ alerts they get with their legacy endpoint protection product. They aren’t used to seeing all the badness, and sometimes it can be overwhelming.

CylancePROTECT is like shining a black light on your hotel room. You may not have wanted to see all those stains and messes left behind by prior tenants. You may even have slept a lot better at night not knowing about it. You could have laid down on that pillow and slept like a log. But then you’d wake up a week later with a nasty infection and pink eye, with no idea what happened or where it came from.

Had you only known you were getting in bed with that filth, you may have made a different decision about where you slept, or where you rested your head. You may have even gotten the bleach out and done some of your own deep cleaning to keep you safe from infection. Ignorance is bliss, until it leads to a nasty infection that doesn’t stay in Vegas. Knowing is much, much better.

Just because your current endpoint protection controls aren’t telling you something is wrong doesn’t mean you’re all clean. There could very easily be other messes lurking on your endpoints you just haven’t seen yet. With CylancePROTECT, finding more of what’s out there is a good thing. It takes work to get it cleaned up, but doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as the shots you have to take if you let the infection linger. And CylancePROTECT doesn’t just find the malware, it blocks it and removes it; finds and fixes the mess automatically.

Beyond that, CylancePROTECT will actually prevent infection. It can find what’s already there, and prevent anything else from getting there in the future. You don’t have to constantly find and clean the messes that slipped through. CylancePROTECT will find where you’re already infected and remove it, then make sure no new filth lands on your computers.

Stay healthy. Don’t get a nasty endpoint infection. CylancePROTECT is the black light and bleach for your endpoints.
