Ted recently released a new book called The Law of Artificial Intelligence and Smart Machines, published via the American Bar Association. The book takes an in-depth look at existing laws that currently address AI, autonomous vehicles, biorobotics, cybernetics, and similar technologies.

About Ted Claypool
Ted Claypoole (AKA Theodore F. Claypoole) is a lawyer in Atlanta, Georgia, and a partner at Womble Bond Dickinson. For more than 30 years, he has represented clients in regard to software and service agreements, data management including privacy/security/analytics, payment systems, and technology planning.
Ted has assisted clients in recovering from some of the largest data breaches for both the private and public sectors, and has worked extensively with online and mobile payment systems, as well as developing international supply chain strategies.
A regular speaker on privacy and security issues, Ted has been selected five times as a presenter for the RSA Data Security Conference in San Francisco, where he recently led a panel on AI’s effect on Information Security. He is co-author with Theresa Payton of two books from Rowman & Littlefield Publishers titled Privacy in the Age of Big Data and Protecting Your Internet Identity: Are You Naked Online?
