BlackBerry has received the highest score in Gartner’s Critical Capabilities for Unified Endpoint Management Tools report1 for the Unmanaged/BYO use case. BlackBerry was also ranked within the highest three scores for the Compliance-Driven Management use case, where scores were weighted toward application and content management (20%) within the unified endpoint security (UES) tools market.
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many companies to quickly pivot to BYO and full remote work, which has presented new security threats and device management challenges. BlackBerry, which had been securely enabling the mobile workforce long before the pandemic, continues to invest in technologies like the BlackBerry Spark® UEM Suite and the BlackBerry Spark® UES Suite to help companies address today’s pressing issues.
In the new report, Gartner noted “UEM tools are key to addressing mobile and traditional endpoints, maintaining continuity of end-user computing operations, and delivering seamless IT administration in the era of expanded remote work.”
“We’re pleased that BlackBerry is ranked within the highest three scores in the Unmanaged/BYO and Compliance-Driven Management use cases,” said Billy Ho, Executive Vice President of Spark at BlackBerry. “BlackBerry has continued to strategically invest in our UEM and UES technologies to ensure we are meeting our customers’ evolving BYO needs, especially during this time with COVID and expanded remote work situations across all industries.”
The Unified Endpoint Security capability focused on the “tool’s features to support integration with identity and access infrastructure, endpoint detection and response, mobile threat defense, and AI/ML to support dynamic policy and contextual access as well as novel authentication methods.”
BlackBerry Spark UEM is the foundation for BlackBerry Spark® Suites, a range of new tailored cybersecurity and endpoint management options to help protect data, minimize risk, and reduce cost and complexity.
